Did you get pulled over on the Northway, interstate 87 north of Albany, New York?

North of Albany, interstate 87 is no longer a toll road, because the Thruway follows interstate 90 going west. Driving up the Northway will take you into the heart of the Adirondacks, and on a clear day you might be able to see Lake Placid and Vermont to the east from time to time before reaching the Canadian border. The route goes through the counties of Albany, Saratoga, Warren, Essex, and Clinton.

Rural highway driving can lead to speed, and the state troopers who patrol the Northway are very good at pulling over drivers they think are going too fast, or violating any number of other vehicle and traffic laws. This could land a driver in a number of upstate town and city courts, including Albany, Au Sable, Beekmantown, Champlain, Chesterfield, Colonie, Elizabethtown, Peru, Plattsburgh, and Wilton. If the court you're going to isn’t listed here, call Selby Legal to confirm that we cover it or upload that traffic ticket to get a call back.
