Backing up is hard to do

Operating a motor vehicle in reverse is more dangerous because it’s just harder to see, and it’s clear in the vehicle and traffic law that drivers are expected to be extremely careful when doing this. If you have ever:

  • backed up without looking behind you,

  • put a car in reverse after checking only mirrors, or

  • backed up on a parkway, highway, or freeway because you missed your exit,

then you could have been given a ticket that will get you two points if you plead guilty to it. Police officers, prosecutors, and judges often take this quite seriously because of the inherent danger to backing up. For that reason, please consider getting a free consultation to talk about what to expect.
